20th Century Fox Adds Release Dates For Two Untitled Marvel Films In 2017 & 2018

While we don’t have details regarding what the projects are, 20th Century Fox has added two new untitled Marvel films to their slate. The two films will be hitting theaters on October 6th, 2017 and January 12, 2018. While one might assume that the first film is a new release date for Gambit, keep in mind that film was already a part of the studio’s announced slate. That film has now been taken off it’s October 2016 release date and there is currently no new date set. That doesn’t mean the film isn’t happening, just that the studio hasn’t set a new release date for the project which was delayed upon losing it’s original director.

This untitled Marvel film in 2017, which is very likely an unannounced film, could perhaps be the studio planting the flag for Josh Boone’s New Mutants. As for that second release date, I’d definitely put my money on that one being, the recently announced Deadpool sequel. With the success the studio had early in the year and Black Panther hitting in Februry, it just makes total sense. What do you think these two release dates could be for? Stay tuned for any updates and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
