Detective John Jones Aka The Martian Manhunter
Who he is: Born J’onn J’onzz of mars, and taking the name John Jones on Earth, he is the last surviving member of his now extinct Martian race. Following a martian holocaust that killed his wife and daughter, he was brought to Earth in an accident caused by scientist and later used his shape shifting powers to become a detective.
Why its possible: Despite the negative comments of David Goyer regarding the character, The Martian Manhunter reached a new wide-spread notoriety thanks to his inclusion on the CBS Supergirl tv series. And with the character often being a founding member of the Justice League, its doubtful that DC would completely ignore the character.
