Tom Curry
Who he is: In the comics, Tom Curry is a lighthouse keeper in Maine, and the biological father of Aquaman. His wife is Atlanna, the Queen of Atlantis, gave birth to their son Arthur, who later becomes Aquaman. However, In some Post-Crisis stories he is merely the man who finds him, raises him, and acts as his surrogate father. Both versions provide the character with the role of teaching the hero as a child the concepts of moral humanity and the goodness of the surface world.
Why is Possible: With the Aquaman film following Justice League part 1, its entirely possible that WB and DC would want to set the stage for our underwater royal hero, and what better way to do that than to introduce audiences to Aquaman’s version of Pa Kent.
