New ‘A Quiet Place: Part II’ Featurette Spotlight’s Cillian Murphy

A new featurette for A Quiet Place: Part II spotlights Cillian Murphy’s new mystery character.

The release date for A Quiet Place: Part II is rapidly approaching and Paramount is putting its marketing machine to work. When the trailers for the film were released, it gave us an idea as to who Cillian Murphy would be playing in the film. There is still a lot that we do not know about his character but the trailers suggest that he may be some kind of new protector for the Abbot family. Now, thanks to a new featurette, we’ve learned a bit more about Cillian Murphy’s character.

The featurette doesn’t show us anything new from the film but it does give us some behind the scenes looks at the film and reveals that director John Krasinski was eager to get him into the film’s universe. It also tells us a bit about what went into the character, what has become of this world, and how it shaped him. Here is the official synopsis for John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place: Part II:

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

Written and directed by John Krasinski, A Quiet Place: Part II stars Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Djimon Hounsou.

A Quiet Place: Part II will be released in theaters on March 20, 2020.
