‘Star Wars’ Art Book Reveals Alternate Design For Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren

The Art of Star Wars: The Force Awakens has revealed an alternate costume design for Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren.

The Star Wars sequel trilogy introduced audiences to Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren, the master of the Knights of Ren and commander of the First Order. As the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren chose to wear an outfit seemingly inspired by the armor worn by his grandfather, the infamous Darth Vader.

Of course, the concept artists who worked on Star Wars: The Force Awakens created several designs for Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren outfit and one of those designs from the film’s art book has surfaced online. As the caption in the Instagram post explains, the design for the character who would eventually become Kylo Ren was very much inspired by samurai armor at the time.
