Adrianne Palicki Talks Unaired ‘Wonder Woman’ Television Pilot

While Wonder Woman experienced critical acclaim and record-breaking box office success over the past summer, the DC Comics heroine had once been destined for the small screen with Adrianne Palicki in the title role. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Palicki reflected on her experience filming the Wonder Woman pilot and her disappointment after NBC passed on the series.

Palicki expressed her gratitude over having the opportunity to play the role and shared one of her favorite moments while filming the pilot:

“I was devastated when the pilot didn’t go, but I also look at it, like, I got paid to wear that costume. And that is one of the coolest moments of my life running down Hollywood Boulevard. Like, that was so cool. And I was — how lucky am I. And you know, everything for a reason. It led me here. You know what I mean? So as dark as those moments were back in the day, I’m happy and so glad that somebody else gets to wear that costume. I’m so glad that [Gadot is] rocking it.”

Palicki also compared her Wonder Woman costume to the outfit worn by Gal Gadot in the film:

“It’s real badass. It looks heavy. Mine was probably more of a TV version.”
