‘Aladdin’ Crosses Over With ‘Star Wars’ As Will Smith Meets Chewbacca

Will Smith stopped by Disney’s offices to visit his friend Chewbacca from Star Wars before getting back to work for Aladdin.

Aladdin is set to release later this year on May 19th. Will Smith is set to play as the fast talking, blue skinned, wish granting Genie. Star Wars being owned by Disney as well, Smith couldn’t help but stop by to show us an interaction with Chewbacca. In the video, Chewbacca can be seen wearing a Santa hat with Mickey Mouse ears.

Smith shows his fluency in Shyriiwook in the video and his classic humor fans know and love. In the comments section of the video fans are seen with numerous laughing crying emojis. Throughout the years, it seems the Aladdin star still hasn’t lost his touch with the people and his great sense of humor. We can expect to see plenty more of Smith like this in the upcoming live-action adaption of Aladdin. Are you excited to see Smith in Aladdin?  Let us know what you think of Smith’s shyriiwook and how you think he’ll do as Genie.

Directed by Guy Ritchie from a script he co-wrote with John August, the film stars Will Smith as the Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, Navid Negahban as the Sultan, Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders, and Numan Acar as Hakim.

Aladdin opens in theatres on May 24, 2019.
