Clowns Only: Alamo Drafthouse To Host Special Screenings Of ‘It: Chapter Two’

The Alamo Drafthouse Theater is at it again and will be hosting clown-only screenings of IT: Chapter Two.

Alamo Drafthouse is, of course, known for such gimmicks. At one point, in 2017, the company actually came under for fire for hosting an all woman’s night for that year’s Wonder Woman but that did not stop the company from continuing similarly themed nights. That same year, the company did something similar by hosting a clown only screeing of the first IT film. In this particular instance, however, it was only available in Austin, Texas. This time around, the Alamo Drafthouse will be hosting the event in 11 cities at 17 locations throughout the United States for IT: Chapter Two.

The locations for the Alamo Drafthouse event will include Austin, TX, San Antonio, TX, Los Angeles, CA, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, Raleigh, NC, Springfield, MO, and Twin Cities, MN.

Based on this, it looks like Alamo Drafthouse will be bringing scares and laughs all over the United States this time around!

What do you all make of this new Almo Drafthouse event? Will you be going to IT: Chapter Two’s screening dressed like a clown? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Here’s the official synopsis for IT: Chapter Two:

Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, “IT CHAPTER TWO” brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

IT: Chapter Two will star Bill Skarsgard, James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Jay Ryan, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, James Ransone, Andy Bean, Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Finn Wolfhard, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Wyatt Oleff.

IT: Chapter Two hits theaters on September 6, 2019.
