'Rogue One' star Alan Tudyk expresses desire for a role in 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and confirms his return for sequels to 'Wreck-It Ralph' & 'Frozen'
Fandango recently got a chance to interview Alan Tudyk in honor of Rogue One, to which Erik Davis joked about how the actor is now mandated to have a role in every Disney film at this point. Tudyk, who portrays Captain Cassian Andor’s (Diego Luna) droid companion K-2SO humorously responded:
It’s one I’m trying to push. Because I want to get in one of the Marvel movies!
When asked about what film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe he’d like to have a role in, Alan Tudyk quickly mentioned Guardians of the Galaxy. Tudyk is a close friend of director James Gunn and has collaborated with him in the past. Erik Davis tweeted to Gunn about this comment, and Gunn replied that he’d be thrilled to work with him again:
Alan Tudyk also confirmed to Fandango that he will indeed return for the upcoming sequels to Wreck-It Ralph and Frozen:
“I will [return]. I don’t know in what character form, though. I say that confidently just because I’ve been in the ones before and they are committed to continuing that tradition, which considering how many movies they put out… I’m gonna run out of voices at some point! But I haven’t run out yet, so let’s do it.”
It is unknown whether or not Alan Tudyk will be reprising his roles as King Candy or Duke in those films, but expect Tudyk to contribute his voice talents once again. In the meantime, you can see his hilarious work in Moana as Heihei the chicken in theaters now.
