Alden Ehrenreich Opens Up About His Future As Han Solo In ‘Star Wars’

Young Han Solo himself talks about a potential sequel to the prequel!

Alden Ehrenreich recently commented on his future as a young Han Solo in the Star Wars franchise.

Solo: A Star Wars earned favorable reviews despite Ron Howard replacing Phil Lord and Chris Miller as director during production, but the film struggled at the box office. Unlike Rogue One, it seemed like Lucasfilm was teasing future adventures with co-writer Jon Kasdan hinting at a war in the criminal underworld, but recently cast doubt on a sequel ever happening. We are getting a Rouge One prequel series on Disney Plus centered on Cassian Andor and many fans are still hoping the same happens with Alden Eherenreich’s young Han Solo or some other facet from the 2018 film.

In a recent profile with Esquire, Alden Ehrenreich opened up about taking a break from projects before starring in Peacock’s Brave New World and revealed if he would be willing to return as a young Han Solo in a future Star Wars project:

“It depends on what it is. It depends on how it’s done. It depends if it feels innate to the story.”

As for a potential Solo: A Star Wars sequel, Alden Ehrenreich admitted that he had not seen The Rise of Skywalker or heard of The Mandalorian, but had this to say regarding the film he starred in:

“No, I don’t know anything about that. I mean, you know, I think our movie was kind of the last of the conventional-era Star Wars movie release time…I’ve heard soooome stuff, but nothing concrete.”
