Alden Ehrenreich Talks ‘Han Solo’ Film; Teases Young Chewbacca

In December, we will witness the first of Disney and LucasFilm’s Star Wars Anthology movies with the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The movie will detail the events before A New Hope, and how the Rebels got their hands on the Death Star plans. However, there is a very different film in the works. The upcoming prequel, currently titled Han Solo Spin-Off Movie, will tell of the scoundrel’s life before he met Luke Skywalker, and Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine. The movie is set to star Rules Don’t Apply star Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo himself, with Spider-Man: Homecoming actor Donald Glover set to portray Lando Calrissian, a role originated by Billy Dee Williams.

While promoting his latest project, Ehrenreich revealed some awesome details regarding the Han Solo film, as well as announcing his excitement to work with Glover:

“I’m allowed to say that I’m really excited about Donald Glover’s casting. I think he’s going to be great in the role because he’s such a talented and interesting guy.”

Following this, Ehrenreich revealed some small details in regard to Chewbacca’s role in the movie:

“I can say that Chewbacca’s in the film, although I know that’s not a huge spoiler. He’s as much younger as I am in the film. So, I think he’s like 190 — or something — years old. I don’t think there’s a huge growth spurt for him from 190 to 210, so he’s probably about the same height.”

Of course, it has not been confirmed or denied whether Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew will return, but, all things considered, it seems rather likely. But, what do you guys think?
