Alec Guinness’ Granddaughter Cameos In ‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’

The making-of documentary featured on the extras of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker revealed that Alec Guinness’ granddaughter cameoed in the film.

The Digital HD version of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes a making-of documentary that reveals that Alec Guinness’ granddaughter, Sally Guinness. Fans will obviously remember that Alec Guinness originally played Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: A New Hope. Although he was also known as Ben Kenobi, which Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker often used to refer to him. It’s a nice touch that Sally Guinness appeared in the last chapter of the new trilogy since Alec Guinness starred in the very first chapter of the original series.

The making-of documentary that comes with the digital version of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker reveals the hidden cameo from Alec Guinness’ granddaughter as a member of the First Order opposite Kylo Ren. She plays part of the First Order council that Kylo speaks to when he’s in his full Supreme Leader role while wearing the reforged version of his iconic mask. It’s a funny detail that Alec Guinness played a Jedi but his granddaughter Sally joined the dark side!

Carrie Fisher appeared as General Leia Organa through the use of previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is now on Digital HD and will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 31st.
