Alt-Right Author Gets Shredded For Controversial Stan Lee MCU Comments

Fans responded to Jack Posobiec’s controversial comments about Stan Lee and the MCU by skewering the alt-right author on social media.

Jack Posobiec is a deservedly controversial alt-right troll and conspiracy theorist who took to his official Twitter account to say, “imagine if Stan Lee saw what they’ve turned the MCU into.” While he did not specifically mention Captain Marvel, his comment has been interpreted as one of the latest attacks on the film and Marvel Studios’ overdue commitment to diversity on screen and behind the camera. In response, fans noted that Stan Lee was well aware of the way Marvel Studios was depicting the characters and stories from the comics (many of which he helped co-create) while highlighting Lee’s own advocacy for diversity and inclusion.

Mississipi Grind helmers Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck have directed from a script written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve. Here’s the official synopsis:

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.

Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg and Jude Law. The film is now playing.

Following her debut in her titular standalone film, Brie Larson will return to face Thanos in April when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26, 2019, however, it remains unclear as to whether or not Samuel L Jackson will appear.

Plot details are still under wraps but the Avengers are expected to attempt to undo Thanos’ snap which gave way to the decimation of half of the Universe after the heroes failed to stop the Mad Titan from collecting all six Infinity Stones in Avengers: Infinity War. The highly-anticipated Avengers: Infinity War follow-up will conclude the previous 22 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe before Marvel kicks off Phase 4 with Spider-Man: Far From Home in July.

A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame is expected to star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Brie Larson, Josh Brolin, Chris Pratt, and Brie Larson.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we learn it.
