‘Aquaman’ Star Amber Heard Disables Instagram Comments Following Johnny Depp Backlash

Aquaman star Amber Heard has disabled the ability to comment on her official Instagram after receiving backlash over the recently-released audio clip in which it’s revealed that she admitted to hitting her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

Earlier this month, The Daily Mail obtained an audio clip in which Aquaman star Amber Heard could be heard admitting she assaulted Johnny Depp and that she could not promise she wouldn’t “get physical again.” The release of the audio clip is the latest development in the defamation lawsuit Depp filed against Heard in response to the abuse case filed by the Aquaman star’s attorneys.

Consequently, Johnny Depp fans have taken to the internet to express their disdain towards Heard and some have even called on Warner Bros. to recast the role of Mera in future Aquaman films. Now, Heard has responded to the backlash she has received from Johnny Depps fans on social media by disabling the commentting function on her personal Instagram account.
