Mera Actress Amber Heard Shares BTS ‘Aquaman’ Photo

Amber Heard has taken to Instagram to share a new look at herself as Mera on the set of Aquaman which is currently in production.

Following the sneak peek at Heard on set with James Wan two weeks ago, Heard has shared an image of herself getting in some much-deserved relaxation and reading a book in between takes on James Wan’s swashbuckling action adventure.

Plot details are still under wraps however the film will feature Heard as Mera alongside Jason Momoa as the titular DC Comics hero. The actress has undergone intense and extensive training to physically prepare for the role, essentially becoming an athlete herself. You can check out the image of Heard below.

James Wan’s Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa as the title character, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko and Patrick Wilson as Orm a.k.a. Ocean Master, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Ludi Lin as Murk, with Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna and Temuera Morrison as Arthur’s father, hits theaters on December 21, 2018.

But Heard will first be seen making her debut in the DCEU in Zack Snyder’s Justice Leaguewhen it opens in theaters this fall. The film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg. Here’s the official synopsis:
