‘American Assassin’ Trailer Teaser Released; Full Trailer Tomorrow

Lionsgate has released a trailer teaser for the upcoming action thriller American Assassin starring Dylan O’Brien and Michael Keaton from director Michael Cuesta (Homeland, 12 and Holding).

American Assassin is an adaptation of the novel of the same name from #1 New York Times best-selling author Vince Flynn. Before he passed away from prostate cancer in 2013, Flynn wrote a series of 15 novels featuring the character of Mitch Rapp. While American Assassin was the eleventh entry in the series, the novel introduces the young Rapp on the mission of vengeance that made him a CIA superagent.

The trailer teaser warns audiences that the full trailer will hit the web in less than 24 hours. You can watch it below.

The film stars Dylan O’Brien, Michael Keaton, Taylor Kitsch, Sanaa Lathan, Shiva Negar, and Navid Negahban. Here’s the official synopsis:

“American Assassin” follows the rise of Mitch Rapp (Dylan O’Brien) a CIA black ops recruit under the instruction of Cold War veteran Stan Hurley (Michael Keaton). The pair is then enlisted by CIA Deputy Director Irene Kennedy (Sanaa Lathan) to investigate a wave of apparently random attacks on both military and civilian targets. Together the three discover a pattern in the violence leading them to a joint mission with a lethal Turkish agent (Shiva Negar) to stop a mysterious operative (Taylor Kitsch) intent on starting a World War in the Middle East.

American Assassin hits theaters September 15, 2017.
