Amy Adams Discusses Lois Lane’s Scene With Batman In ‘Batman v Superman’

We’ve seen Amy Adams in the trailers for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but her ultimate role in the movie is in many ways a mystery. With Batman v Superman acting as a sequel to Man of Steel, it makes sense that she would be featured somewhat strongly. But what is her role, and will Superman be the only hero with whom she interacts over the course of the story?

Amy Adams spoke on this matter in the recent issue of Empire Magazine, and cleared things up a bit in the process. First, she confirmed that Lois Lane will be living with Clark Kent at the start of the film, and that this will have an effect on her position as a journalist.

“She may have some tunnel vision, but she’s got a job, moral standards. [When] we met her before she would do anything to get the story – now Clark has instilled some faith in humanity in her.”

So living with Superman will have an effect on Lane’s career, but it may also put her in danger. After all, anyone who learns of Superman’s secret identity will inevitably target Lane in order to get to him. With Superman going against the World’s Greatest Detective in his next outing, one might wonder if Lane doesn’t inevitably share some scenes with Batman.

Not only does Adams confirm that her and the Dark Knight will share a scene together, but she refers to it as “a big moment” requiring “wirework and special effects work” to pull off. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Lane is in danger, of course. For all we know, Batman could be saving Lane from Doomsday or some other threat. Either way, she will definitely be in the middle of the action at one point or another.

Amy Adams was also asked whether or not Lane would meet Wonder Woman in the course of the film, but it unfortunately looks like Lane won’t be quite that involved in the plot. Adams’ response:

“I am too busy sleuthing, but she definitely brings another dynamic.”
