Adams expressed this in a discussion with Aquaman actress Nicole Kidman. Many took Adams’ comments as confirmation that she (and likely Superman actor Henry Cavill) have moved on from the DCEU. However, Adams recently spoke with Den of Geek to further elaborate on her comments. She reveals that she has yet to meet with Warner Bros. about the future of Lois Lane:
“You know what’s funny? I actually don’t know. I haven’t had any official conversation with anybody. I was just talking with Nicole Kidman about it, and I was like, ‘Oh, I guess I’ve got to be careful what I say!’ But yeah, I haven’t had any word officially.”
Following the news that Henry Cavill was likely hanging the red cape a few months ago, Warner Bros. also revealed that there were currently no plans for a Superman movie in active development. With the lack of anything concrete about Superman’s future, some continue to worry about Cavill, Adams and other Man of Steel cast members ever returning to reprise their roles ever again.
In the meantime, Amy Adams is just as confused as everyone else since she has not had any meetings about the matter. Hopefully, she can still play Lois Lane in the future and perhaps Henry Cavill can don the Superman suit once again to save the day.
Here is the synopsis for Justice League:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
