Analytics Reveal Luke Cage’s Significant Popularity Over Iron Fist Series

A new study has shown that, prior to cancelation, Marvel and Netflix’s Luke Cage was nearly 50% more popular than the Iron Fist series.

Netflix isn’t always very open about the numbers that their programming earns. It tends to be revealed through leaks, rumors, or other companies who analyze certain information via platforms such as social media. Screen Rant recently obtained exclusive information from a company called Parrot Analytics, who claims to have some very interesting numbers regarding Iron Fist and Luke Cage prior to their recent infamous cancellation.

According to the information obtained by Screen Rant, Luke Cage was a whopping 46% more in-demand than the Iron Fist series via social media and other forms of information sharing that Parrot Analytics took into consideration. Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand (Finn Jones), aka Iron Fist, both headlined two seasons of their own series and appeared alongside Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) in the Marvel Netflix team-up series The Defenders before being canceledAmongst fans who watched the series, Luke Cage seemed to have its issues but was given mostly favorable word-of-mouth for both seasons.

Iron Fist, on the other hand, went through the first season that has its fans but was mainly lambasted as the weakest entry in the Marvel Netflix universe up until that point. That being said, the word-of-mouth coming out of Iron Fist season 2 was that it was a major step up from the first season.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding the Marvel Netflix universe as soon as more information becomes available. What are your thoughts on both series? Do you think they deserved to be canceled? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
