According to TheWrap, Andy Serkis is in talks for the role of Alfred Pennyworth opposite Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne in The Batman. This would mark a reunion for Andy Serkis and The Batman director Matt Reeves, as the two previously worked together on the new Planet of the Apes movies.
If he signs on, Andy Serkis will join a long line of prolific actors who have played Bruce Wayne’s iconic butler. Jeremy Irons, Michael Caine and Michael Gough have all previously put their stamp on the Alfred Pennyworth role, so Andy Serkis wouldn’t be that farfetched of a choice.
