‘Ant-Man And The Wasp’ Director Squashes Hopes Of Character’s Solo Film

The good news is the Ant-Man sequel has finally been released on digital and fans everywhere are excited to get a second viewing of the hit Marvel film. Those hoping for one of the film’s beloved characters to get a standalone film were unfortunately given some bad news, though.

Director Peyton Reed was asked on Twitter if Luis, the fast-talking character played by actor Michael Peña, would ever get a one-shot, MCU recap, or even a standalone film. The character is a fan favorite and definitely steals the show in every scene he is in. His signature shtick is when he tells a story in a very unique way with the characters he is referring to lip-syncing his hilarious dialogue. While he has no powers, his personality alone could easily fill up a One-shot and would definitely translate into a comedic film. But according to Reed, he won’t be getting one.

Luis is one of the things that makes Ant-Man stand out from the rest of the MCU. Peña is a great actor and could absolutely do a great job if he got a standalone film. Here’s hoping he’ll get one in the future.
