Marvel Studio’s director Peyton Reed revealed that there are more easter eggs in Ant-Man and The Wasp for fans to find. While speaking in a live Facebook Q&A hosted by IMAX and Collider, Reed told the audience that they should look closely at Hank Pym’s shrunken lab and in the X-Con building:
“I think there are a couple that have not been mentioned yet. I mean, people have certainly seen the little — what appears to be a civilization in the Quantum Realm. People have seen the giant Duracell batteries. There are lots of details in Pym’s shrunken lab with these items that are found objects he’s using. There’s a lot of stuff in Hank’s lab. There are a few things in X-Con, in the company that I am loathing to reveal any of them. There are a couple out there.”
Reed is actually pointing out that people are looking too much into the Quantum Realm and not into the more obvious places in the film. As you may know, one of the most sought after places for Easter eggs in both Ant-Man and Ant-Man and The Wasp has been the Quantum Realm. In the first movie, fans seemingly found a reference to Janet Van Dyne in the Quantum Realm while Scott Lang was getting smaller and smaller in the final act of the movie. And in the second movie, there have been sightings of what it seems to be a civilization in the Quantum Realm; many hardcore fans even believe this may be a reference to Marvel classic character the Black Knight. In the interview, Reed is still adamant to confirm or deny this theory. Alas, time will tell what secrets lie around in the movie and if the film reveals more than what initially seems to show.
From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes “Ant-Man and The Wasp,” a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. AS he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.
Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man and The Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña, Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip “T.I.” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Hannah John-Kamen, Abby Ryder Fortson, Randall Park, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym.
Ant-Man and The Wasp is now available Digital HD and will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
