Is This Our First Look At Anthony Mackie As Captain America?

Sam Wilson finally gets his red, white and blue costume!

A new toy possibly reveals the comic-accurate Captain America costume for Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Although many fans assumed Marvel Studios would put Sam Wilson in a faithful version of his Captain America costume from the comics, after Anthony Mackie’s recent comments about who will carry the shield it wasn’t clear if The Falcon and The Winter Soldier would give him the chance to don the red, white and blue. But images of a new toy from the show reveals what the star’s Captain America outfit will look like in live-action.

The photos come from @BRMarvelNews on Twitter, showing off the Captain America toy complete with his wings and shield. But the packaging for the toy offer a good look at Anthony Mackie in the suit, which remains faithful to the design which first debuted in the comics back in 2014. One of the recent images released from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier also offered a better look at Falcon’s white and red costume, but most fans are excited to see the character finally become Captain America. Take a look at the toy below.

What do you make of Anthony Mackie’s Captain America suit? Are you glad Sam Wilson is taking up the mantle after Steve Rogers? What do you want to see from the upcoming series? Sound-off in the comments below!
