Now, while chatting it up with BUILD, Mackie goes on to say:
“I wish I had ended in a better way.”
Watch Anthony Mackie’s funny alternate ending for Falcon down below.
If we all had our choice in how we depart from this world, I’m sure we would prefer any other way than just turning into dirt too.
Mackie jokingly explained that after the great Titan Thanos snapped his fingers there was nothing left to do for his character but just lay there and think about disappearing from existence.
After his show of disapproval, Mackie got on the creative train and shared his thoughts on a better ending for Falcon:
“I wish I was like running and Scarlett Johansson was there and I jump on it and take a bullet and she cries and I’m laying there and I say, ‘I did it for you,” and she’s like, ‘You were always my favorite.’ And then you take the crane and you pan out as she passionately kisses me…And then RDJ picks me up like a baby and walks to his car and we drive away in a ‘67 fastback.”
Mackie’s take on his character’s end is definitely entertaining and funny, but it was thrown out quickly after the real question of the matter was just brushed over, will we see the Falcon again after Avengers: Infinity War?
While he did not confirm or deny, fans certainly expect to see Falcon return from the decimation in this year’s Avengers: Endgame. Also, recent reports have Falcon and Winter Soldier sharing the small screen in a limited mini-series on Disney’s new streaming service which is currently in development. So take that into consideration too.
