What's Yennefer got herself into?
New images of Anya Chalotra in The Witcher season two seem to reveal what happened to Yennefer at the end of the first season. The young sorceress was last seen summoning a large wave of fire against the Nilfgaardian soldiers at Sodden Hill before she mysteriously disappeared. The new images come soon after The Witcher fans got their first look at Henry Cavill’s impressive new armor as well as Freya Allan’s radically different costume for season two.
The Witcher Twitter account posted the new look at Anya Chalotra as Yennefer in season two, using a short poem to tease that the sorceress will return after her disappearance. The photos show Yennefer in a forest somewhere with chains around one of her wrists. It’s not clear if she’s chained to someone else or just imprisoned. Since the first season ended with Ciri asking Geralt who Yennefer is, she’ll clearly continue to be a pivotal player going forward. Take a look at Anya Chalotra’s Yennefer below.
