Warner Bros. has enlisted David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick to pen the sequel to Aquaman and now The Aquaverse alleges The Others will join the King of Atlantis in his second solo feature. In the comics, The Others are a mysterious group of heroes that Aquaman was once part of before he crossed paths with the Justice League. Created by Geoff Johns during the “New 52” era, The Others are humans that possess legendary Atlantean artifacts.
Based on characters created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, Aquaman was written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Will Beall based on a story by Geoff Johns, James Wan and Beall. Peter Safran and Rob Cowan produced the film, with Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Jon Berg, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada serving as executive producers.
Aquaman 2 is scheduled to be released on December 16, 2022.
