‘Aquaman’ Star Amber Heard Wants Ex-Husband Johnny Depp To Undergo Mental Evaluation

Aquaman star Amber Heard has requested that her ex-husband Johnny Depp get a psychological evaluation.

Shortly after Amber Heard was granted access to Johnny Depp’s mental health records as part of their ongoing divorce case, a new development has occurred, according to The Blast. Amber Heard is now issuing an official legal request that Johnny Depp submit to a mental health assessment.

Amber Heard has alleged that Johnny Depp physically and emotionally abused her during their brief marriage, while he has issued claims suggesting the opposite as both parties have sued one another. She has argued that he has had a history of substance abuse that led to the abuse she claims happened to her. Amber Heard’s court request reads as follows:

“[Johnny Depp’s] relationship with reality oscillates, depending upon his interaction with alcohol and drugs. As [Johnny Depp’s] paranoia, delusions and aggression increased throughout our relationship, so has my awareness of his continued substance abuse.”

As it stands, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are both part of major Warner Bros. franchises, with the former being involved in the Fantastic Beasts series and the latter being involved in Aquaman. This resulted in a bit of controversy at last year’s San Diego Comic Con, when both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard gave Hall H presentations minutes apart from one another.

Amber Heard’s Mera can be seen in James Wan’s Aquaman. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.

Aquaman is available on Digital HD, 4K UHD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD. Stay tuned for the latest news on Amber Heard, Johnny Depp, and Aquaman.
