‘Aquaman’ Fan Theory Calls Out Arthur Curry For Being A Tyrant

A new fan theory claims that Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) is more of a tyrant than a hero in the finale of Aquaman.

Aquaman is King of the worldwide box office right now but a new fan theory claims that his actions aren’t as heroic as they might seem. The trailers for the film don’t hide the fact that in the finale for Aquaman, Arthur Curry retrieves King Atlan’s Trident, dons his iconic orange-and-green costume, before descending upon King Orm’s (Patrick Wilson) army with an eclectic group of terrifying sea creatures.

A fan theory has appeared on Reddit from username Symiir and it makes the case for why Arthur Curry’s actions are more villainous than they are heroic. The theory specifically cites the film’s finale as the portion of the story in which the titular hero turns from heroic to cruel. Avoid reading ahead if you don’t want any spoilers for the third act of Aquaman. Check out the intriguing theory in the post below.

Arthur Curry was doing what he had to do to stop King Orm but this fan theory makes an interesting case for why that wasn’t the right way to do it. Arthur doesn’t kill Orm in the end but the tactics used are certainly questionable in some ways.
