Aquaman's budget has been revealed as a sizable $160 million. The film is just under the $175 million budget for Suicide Squad,
The Australian filming will provide over 1,200 local jobs, and comes off of Thor: Ragnarok having filmed in Australia. Thor 3 also brought many jobs to the locals by spending $500,000 for Oxenford’s Bunnings to build sets.
“Making movies is core business for the Gold Coast, supporting jobs and businesses throughout the region. Our decision to back in Thor was a marvel and so will be our decision to back Aquaman,” said Australian Parliament Member Scott Morrison.
Aquaman is just one of many DC films in the pipeline with the just announced Sirens, Deadshot Spinoff, and Suicide Squad 2, alongside the previously announced Wonder Woman, Justice League, The Flash, The Batman, Cyborg, Green Lantern Corps, Man of Steel 2, and Justice League 2.
Aquaman will first appear in next year’s Justice League which hits theaters on November 17th, 2017.

Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Aquaman is set for release on October 5th, 2018.
