Box Office: James Wan’s ‘Aquaman’ Passes ‘Deadpool 2’ Domestically

James Wan’s Aquaman continues to pass up films during its incredible box office run, most recently surpassing Deadpool 2 domestically.

Aquaman has become a huge win for Warner Bros. and DC Films at the box office, earning more than $1 billion worldwide. Aquaman‘s monstrous box office run topped The Dark Knight Rises recently, becoming the highest grossing DC film of all time. The James Wan-directed film has now passed Deadpool 2‘s domestic gross with $324.9 million. Domestically, this puts the solo film right behind Suicide Squad‘s $325.1 million. Despite having the highest total gross for DC, Aquaman still trails behind the 2008 DC film The Dark Knight‘s $535.4 domestic box office total.
