When it comes to comic book movies nowadays, audiences can see them on the big screen and not have to understand anything that isn’t on the screen to have a good time. Fans who want to have a more in-depth experience with the film though can go towards plenty of supplemental material that gets released alongside most comic book films. It doesn’t always happen, but in the case of DC’s Aquaman, fans are in luck.
Arthur’s Guide to Atlantis teaches fans about Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) and the world around him through his own eyes. It can be purchased by fans via services such as Amazon. The hero’s appearance in last year’s Justice League featured him clobbering bad guys in mid-air and riding them all the way down to the ground, but this book looks to humanize Arthur. For instance, fans can take a look at some photos via Twitter below that reveal some of the interiors of the Curry Lighthouse and some of Arthur’s writings about his childhood.
Arthur Curry is very much a man of two worlds and given the photos of this small lighthouse mixed with the epic scope of action seen in the trailer, it looks like James Wan’s Aquaman is looking to deliver on that. From underwater monsters to Black Manta’s soldiers hunting Arthur and Mera (Amber Heard) on the surface, Aquaman is proving to be one of the most unique films releasing the December, which is a season already filled with major blockbusters releasing, including multiple comic book properties.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Aquaman as soon as more information becomes available. What are your thoughts on the photos above? Do they make you more or less excited for DC’s latest big screen adventure? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
