While Aquaman has received praise from critics and is a proven box office success overseas, Warner Bros.’ other DCEU films have garnered less favorable reviews and some disappointed at the box office, with Wonder Woman being a notable exception. This has led many to believe that the DC Extended Universe is in need of retooling, but when one fan asked Jason Momoa if DC fixed itself with Aquaman, the lead actor offered a simple response: “Was it broken?”

Aquaman will be released in theaters on December 21, 2018.
