‘Aquaman’ Set Video Features Mera Double Filming Stunt

James Wan and his cast and crew are still filming Aquaman. Given Wan’s track record, the sample size we have seen from Jason Momoa so far in Justice League, and an impressive cast including Amber Heard (Mera), Willem Dafoe (Nuidis Vulko), Patrick Wilson (Ocean Master) and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Black Manta), Aquaman can finally put an end to all of the decades worth of jokes undeservedly targeted at one of the coolest heroes in DC Comics.

A video from the film’s set in Sicily features Heard’s stunt double as Mera filming a stunt set on a rooftop. This video gives another hint at what type of action sequences Wan will be bringing to the DC Extended Universe and the world of Atlantis.

Directed by James Wan and written by Will Beall, the film stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Orm Marius/Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, and Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko.

Aquaman is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on December 21, 2018.

Meanwhile, Mera will first appear in Justice League on November 17, 2017.
