‘Aquaman’ Passes ‘Suicide Squad’ At Domestic Box Office

James Wan’s Aquaman seems to show no signs of slowing down as it stands strong among new film releases.

Aquaman was released in theaters on December 2018 and is still going strong while gaining more at the box office domestically. Perhaps January being an unpopular month for film releases has helped the film gain more audience members. Then again, there is no denying that Aquaman was indeed an incredible film with great action sequences and good storytelling. Now, Aquaman has passed another DC Films release, Suicide Squad. Suicide Squad‘s total domestic gross is $325.1 million while Aquaman‘s domestic haul currently sits at $325.2 million.

Aquaman was a hit with audiences and has had many of them return to theaters to view the film again with some fans having shared that they’ve viewed it more than twice. The new report also suggests that Aquaman could surpass Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice domestically by President’s Day. At the worldwide box office, Aquaman is already the highest-grossing DC Comics movie of all time.
