When principal photography started for Aquaman, an initial logo was released featuring silver and gold colors. That all changed when director James Wan shared a new, colorful logo before the first footage was shown for Aquaman at San Diego Comic Con last year.
In the film, the Aquaman opening title card is formed by fish in the sea in a cool sequence. Now, unused Aquaman title cards have been revealed via The Aquaverse on Twitter and they show what could’ve been. You can check out the alternate Aquaman title cards below:
The next installment of the DCEU is Shazam!, which zaps into theaters in just a week. The superhero origin story, featuring Zachary Levi in the lead role, has earned rave reviews from early critic and fan screenings that have taken place over the last couple of weeks. Unlike Shazam, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman did not debut in his own solo movie.
After having a brief came in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Jason Momoa’s underwater hero went on to play a key role in 2017’s Justice League. After Shazam!, the final installment of the DCEU in 2019 will be Joker. Opening in October, Joker gives the titular Batman villain a twisted origin with Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Aquaman and the future of the DCEU as soon as more information becomes available. Which alternate Aquaman title card is your favorite? Sound off in the comics below!
