Glen Winter’s experience with Arrow and other DC TV serious actually precedes him. You can even say he’s been one of the most influential directors in the style of how those shows are presented. He has directed episodes from Smallville, Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Titans and, more recently, Doom Patrol. With this, you know Stargirl is in talented hands due to the success DC’s had in recent years with their series.
Stargirl is slated to be the third series released on DC Universe. The first one was Titans, which aired last year and will debut on Netflix tomorrow January 11, and the second one will be Doom Patrol next February 15. After Stargirl, DC will debut Swamp Thing sometime later in 2019.

High school sophomore Courtney Whitmore who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new DC Universe series reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in a fun, exciting and unpredictable series premiering in 2019, produced by Warner Bros. Television, Mad Ghost Productions and Berlanti Productions.
Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitemore and Joel McHale as Starman with Luke Wilson, Anjelika Washington, Yvette Monreal, and Christopher James in undisclosed roles. Geoff Johns will write and executive produce the 13-episode first season of Stargirl. Sarah Schechter and Arrowverse boss Greg Berlanti will also serve as executive producers on the series.
Stargirl is scheduled to debut on DC Universe in August 2019.
