CW President Would Love To Have Emily Bett Rickards Return For ‘Arrow’s Final Season

On The CW’s Press upfronts call, network president Mark Pedowitz noted they would love to have Emily Bett Rickards return for the final season of Arrow.

The seventh season finale of Arrow marked the final appearance of long-time series regular Emily Bett Rickards after seven years of portraying Felicity Smoak. Of course, many fans are hoping Emily Bett Rickards can return for at least one more appearance in the final season of Arrow, which premieres next fall. Although Mark Pedowitz noted that he is pleased with how showrunner Beth Schwartz concluded Felicity Smoak’s story, the CW president stated they would love to have the character return provided it makes sense and Emily Bett Rickards is available:

“Emily was terrific in the show and we believe that Beth Schwartz did a great job wrapping up the storyline last year. If Beth can find a way to bring her back that makes sense and Emily is available, we’d love to have her. Otherwise, I’m pleased with the way they said goodbye to the character.”
