‘Arrow’: Lexa Doig Cast As The Arrowverse’s Talia Al Ghul

The third season of Arrow pitted the Emerald Archer against Ra’s Al Ghul, leader of the League of Assassins. Now, The CW has announced that Talia Al Ghul, the daughter of Ra’s, will appear on the show in a recurring role with  Stargate SG-1 actress Lexa Doig cast in the role.

The CW officially describes the character:

“The daughter of Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable) and the half-sister of Nyssa (Katrina Law). Worldly and cultured, Talia is an elite warrior who doesn’t pick sides but rather creates her own. She will initially appear in episode 510 and appear in multiple episodes.”

The character, who made an appearance in Legends of Tomorrow as a young child, was last played by Marion Cotillard in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. No word yet on what role this new version of the character will play in the fifth season of Arrow, but considering the history our heroes have with Ra’s and the League of Assassins, it is possible that her goals could be similar to her cinematic counterpart.

The arrival of a deadly new adversary will force Oliver to confront questions about his own legacy, both as mayor and as the Green Arrow.

Arrow airs on Wednesday at 8:00 pm ET on The CW.
