‘Arrow’ Reveals Oliver Queen Memorial Statue Inspired By ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

The executive producer behind Arrow revealed the statue for Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen inspired by The Dark Knight Rises.

With the Arrow series finale fast approaching, the executive producer revealed how the Arrowverse memorialized Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen for paying the ultimate price during Crisis On Infinite Earths. The Arrow finale will bring back plenty of familiar faces from across the show’s impressive run, including Emily Bett Rickards’ Felicity Smoak. But the Arrowverse’s way of honoring Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen was seemingly inspired by The Dark Knight Rises.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed a look at Stephen Amell posing for a full body scan on his Instagram page, before revealing the Arrowverse’s memorial statue that appeared in the Green Arrow and the Black Canaries backdoor pilot. The statue is similar to the one of Batman that appears at the end of The Dark Knight Rises, when Gotham honored the hero for his sacrifice. The also statue calls back to Stephen Amell’s iconic opening monologue to each Arrow episode, saying that “He saved this city”. Take a look at the touching tribute to Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen below.
