Arrow villain Prometheus will have a role to play in the next major Arrowverse crossover, "Crisis on Earth-X" - but not in the way you'd expect.
Entertainment Weekly has revealed that Prometheus-X, as he’ll be known in the crossover, is going to make an appearance in the Earth-X dimension, a reality in which the Nazis won World War II. The heroes of the Arrowverse have to face off against their Earth-X counterparts (Dark Arrow, Dark Flash, and Overgirl) who are, predictably, Nazis. Anyone hoping that this would mean that Prometheus-X is some kind of hero in the alternate universe is in for some bad news – not only is he still bad, he’s arguably even worse than he was in the “Prime” Arrowverse.
But the real mystery is who it is behind the mask. While it took a while for the Arrowverse to actually reveal that their version of Prometheus (who does not have a known secret identity in the comics) was actually Adrian Chase, Star City’s District Attorney, it’s been confirmed that the alternate universe version of the character is, in fact, someone new. The crossover is about two months away from airing, so until then, fans can anticipate a new take on the mystery villain.
The 4-part “Crisis on Earth-X” crossover event is scheduled to begin with Supergirl and Arrow on Monday, November 27, and concludes with The Flash and Legends on Tuesday, November 28.
