‘Arrow’ Season Five Adds Josh Segarra To Cast

The cast of the CW’s Arrow has added Josh Segarra to the cast. Segarra is known for his work on Chicago P.D. and was seen in Trainwreck.

Segarra will be a series regular for the 5th season and will be playing Adrian Chase. Chase is the new district attorney in Star City’s and is an ally for Mayor Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). It appears that Queen will be looking to clean up the streets through proper legal channels.

Also being promoted for the 5th season will be Echo Kellum, who is moving up to a recurring character. It makes sense that the show will be adding cast members and changing up the traditional crime fighting team after the loss of Katie Cassidy’s character last season.

As previously reported, Entertainment Weekly broke the news today that Mr. Robot’s Rick Gonzalez has been tapped to bring the DC Comics character Jason Seaborn a.k.a. Wild Dog to life in the 5thseason of the Emerald Archer series.

“On the show, Wild Dog is a new vigilante in Star City whose reckless and cocksure nature prompts Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) to take him under his wing.”

This is most likely the “James” character that they were casting for a few weeks ago when it was being reported that Arrow was casting for a new rival for Oliver Queen – here is the description:

“They are looking for an actor of any ethnicity that is in his late-20s to 30s that can come off as a physical threat to our hero. “James” is described as an “an irrepressibly charming contemporary” to Oliver’s character as “James” is someone who is on a mission to avenge a violent and tragic loss of his from many years ago.

”James” is also described as an unpredictable man who could pose as a great ally or stab you in the back big time and be a powerful opponent. It also sounds like that this is someone that enjoys what he is doing.”

Arrow has been renewed for a fifth season and will return sometime in October on Wednesday nights at 8/7c on The CW.
