Arrowverse fans have been speculating for years that John Diggle might actually be Jon Stewart and become Green Lantern at some point. In the second part of Elseworlds, John Wesley Shipps’ The Flash from Earth-90 mistakes Diggle for Stewart, which might be the biggest Green Lantern tease in the Arrowverse yet. During an Elseworlds press screening, Schwartz addressed the revelation and admits there aren’t plans to expand on that tease yet:
“To be continued. No, we were all really excited about that fun nod. But I’m not sure what’s to come of that, really.”
The Flash showrunner Todd Helbing went on to add:
“It’s not been written yet.”
