According to Twitter user worldofmera, Smallville star Tom Welling broke the news during a recent appearance at Armageddon Expo in New Zealand. The user claims that Tom Welling said that he will be in the eighth and final season of the Stephen Amell series after an audience member asked him a question about The CW’s Multiverse.
The report has yet to be confirmed by the people behind Stephen Amell’s Arrow, so it should be taken with grain of salt for the time being. If the rumors are true, Smallville star Tom Welling would be the second former Superman to appear on Arrow after Superman Returns actor Brandon Routh.
Tom Welling is perhaps best known for playing Superman on the long-running television series Smallville. The show lasted ten years on The CW, which is the home of Stephen Amell’s Arrow. The Smallville actor was last seen on television in the comic book drama Lucifer.
Stephen Amell’s Arrow returns on April 15th with the episode titled “Lost Canary” and you can read the official synopsis below:
