‘Arrow’ EP Teases Surprising Alliances In Season Finale

This season of Arrow has pit Oliver Queen against one of his most formidable foes in Prometheus. Having successfully tricked Oliver into killing Felicity’s boyfriend and later prompting Oliver to abandon vigilantism, Felicity Smoak turned the table on the villain by revealing his identity to the authorities. However, Chase evaded capture and now the hunt for the sinister antagonist has begun. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Wendy Mericle teased some surprising alliances that will be formed in Oliver’s quest to bring down Prometheus.

Mericle previewed an emotional and explosive season finale.

“The alliances are going to be very surprising. You’re not going to believe who Oliver is working with to defeat Prometheus. It’s going to be really emotional. It’s going to be all about Oliver’s family, but not the family we’re thinking of right now. It’s going to end in a giant explosion, but not where we think it’s going to end, and the emotional punch is going to be bigger than the actual physical part of the bombs going off.”

The hunt for Adrian Chase begins when Arrow returns on April 26 with the episode titled “Dangerous Liaisons”.

THE SEARCH FOR CHASE INTENSIFIES — Oliver (Stephen Amell), Team Arrow, ARGUS and the SCPD kick off a citywide manhunt for Adrian Chase (Josh Segurra). Helix tells Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) they have a way to find Chase but they will need something big, and illegal, from her in return. Joel Novoa directed the episode written by Speed Weed & Elizabeth Kim (#519).  Original airdate 4/26/2017.”
