Fan Art Imagines Ben Affleck’s Batman Confronting Heath Ledger’s Joker

New fan art has imagined a confrontation between Ben Affleck’s version of Batman with Heath Ledger’s version of the Joker that highlights what may have been if history had gone differently.

The image in question seems to take place during the interrogation scene from The Dark Knight where Batman confronted the Joker regarding the locations of Rachel Dawes and Harvey Dent. In the image, however, we see Ben Affleck’s version of the Caped Crusader behind Heath Ledger version of the Joker. The two characters do not seem to be in any significant action but it none the less gives us an idea as to how such a confrontation may have gone.

The next film to feature the Clown Prince of Crime will be Joker, which is being directed by Todd Phillips from a script he co-wrote with Scott Silver. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.

Here is a plot synopsis for the film:

Joker centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

Joker will be released in theaters on October 4, 2019.

The upcoming Batman film, The Batman is still shrouded in secrecy with little concrete information to be had. Plot details for the film are currently under wraps, though the film is said to center around a younger Caped Crusader and may not feature Ben Affleck’s version of the characters. Pre-Production for the film is currently rumored to begin in November of this year!
