While we wait for the first official trailer for Justin Kurzel’s Assassin’s Creed, Ubisoft has released a brand new image from the movie, featuring Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch locked up in what looks like a prison cell. This one has to be from the beginning of the movie, since most of the first act will likely focus on the present day stuff.
The release of a teaser or a full-length trailer can’t be too far away, so we’re probably going to find out what’s going on here very soon. For now, you can check out the new image below and sound-off your thoughts in the comment section.
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
Directed by Justin Kurzel, Assassin’s Creed will also star Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, Michael K. Williams and Ariane Labed. The movie opens in theaters on December 21, 2016. Are you excited for the big screen adaptation of the game?
