The list itself came courtesy of the writers over at Deadline who posted the list earlier this week. In it, the next Avengers film was listed as the most anticipated film of the year. The runner-up was, as it turned out, another highly anticipated Marvel film in the form of Captain Marvel. Even stranger still, the third was another Marvel film in the form of Spider-Man: Far From Home.
In a statement made by Chairman and Co-Founder of Atom Tickets, Matthew Bakal, he stated that they expected to see movements within these numbers as the year goes on but there were clear winners among the films:
Although we expect to see some movement in preferences as release dates near and studios ramp up marketing efforts, there were clear winners in each category. The battles for box office dominance between Dwayne Johnson, Lupita Nyong’o, The Avengers, and Star Wars will be epic, and the 2019 slate looks great overall.
From the look of things, the next few Marvel films are on a lot of people’s minds!
