This Audi Promo Has A Huge Tony Stark Avengers: Endgame Spoiler

If you want to go into Avengers: Endgame knowing as little as possible, you may not want to watch this new Audi ad.

Product tie-ins are nothing new to big-budget movies and next year’s Avengers: Endgame won’t be dropping that trend. Audi has teamed with Marvel for a number of films and now that the company is promoting a new car, they’ve teamed with Marvel Cinematic Universe icon Robert Downey Jr. to discuss it.

Downey Jr. appeared in a video on the Audi USA Youtube channel and he may have let something regarding his character’s fate slip out. At the beginning of the Avengers: Endgame trailer, Tony Stark is stranded in space and he’s awaiting his death, which is expected to arrive the following morning. The trailer never reveals how or if Tony escapes his fate but in the Audi promo, the actor revealed that not only does his character escape the clutches of deep space, he’ll be driving that new Audi before the end of the movie.

In the promo, Audi Head of Design Marc Lichte reminds Downey Jr. that he has already driven the car but the actor reveals that he did so as his character in the film.

“Well I mean, as Tony Stark in Avengers 4 out in theaters Spring 2019 but this is us now, buddy.”

It’s not exactly an Earth-shattering spoiler because set photos have revealed an Earth-bound Tony Stark and the idea of him dying from oxygen deprivation on the Milano seems pretty bleak, even for a follow-up to a film that featured Spider-Man (Tom Holland) begging for his life before disintegrating in Tony’s arms. Even so, it’s surprising to see Marvel let this bit of information slip out to the public. Be sure to check out the full Audi promo here and don’t worry, there are no other spoilers to be found in the video.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Avengers: Endgame as soon as more information becomes available. How do you think Tony will make his return to Earth? Do you think he’ll use his wits or will it be another MCU character who will come in and save the stranded Avenger? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Avengers: Endgame is scheduled to be released in theaters April 26th, 2019.
