‘Avengers 4’ Casting Call Suggests Film Could Include The Yakuza

With production on Avengers: Infinity War coming to a close, preparations for the still untitled Avengers 4 are beginning to ramp up. Casting details are being set that might just involve some familiar characters.

According to Omega Underground, Marvel is looking for Japanese extras for a scene that involves gangsters and café patrons. Here is the casting call:

*Japanese Gangsters (Background/Extras):

-Male 20-49

-Slender build, this will be a night shoot and will involve rain work and facial prosthetics.

*Japanese Cafe Patrons (Background/Extras):

-Females and Males 18-80

The aforementioned gangsters could be referring to the Yakuza, nemeses to Daredevil as well as Wolverine. The Yakuza were last seen on screen in Fox’s The Wolverine, but it is possible their connection to Daredevil could be another way to tie the Netflix series into the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Avengers 4.

Avengers 4 won’t be out until May 3, 2019 but first up is Avengers: Infinity War.

Avengers: Infinity War is being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo with a script from Captain America: Winter Soldier writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautisa, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel as well as Pom Klementieff, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hiddleston, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Infinity War is slated to hit theaters one year ahead of Avengers 4 on May 4, 2018.
