The ‘Avengers 4’ Movie Title Is A Spoiler According To Kevin Feige

In a recent interview, Kevin Feige revealed that the reason Avengers 4 doesn't have a title yet is because it's a spoiler.

Ever since Joss Whedon got on board for The Avengers, the MCU has been building up to a climactic showdown featuring Thanos. The final two Avengers films were titled Infinity War Part 1 & 2, respectively. Recently, all that has changed, as the fourth film has dropped that title, and the third film is simply titled Infinity War. Many believed that the storyline for the final two films had changed, but it appears that the final film’s title is a spoiler of sorts.

Sitting down with Kevin Feige during the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 press day, Cinemablend got a chance to ask Marvel’s head honcho if the fourth film’s title is a spoiler.

Kevin Feige: Yeah, for sure.

This is interesting for Marvel because they’ve always had a tendency to announce their films far in advance. Going forward, it’ll be interesting to see when they announce the title of the fourth film, possibly leaving it at as a tease at the end of Infinity War?

Regarding the name change, it’s up in the air if Thanos will still appear in the second sequel. While the answer is likely a yes, Feige commented on his presence with a very cryptic answer regarding the two films.

Kevin Feige: They’re two very different movies. That’s all I’ll say.

Avengers: Infinity War will hits theaters on May 4th, 2018.
